Thank you for visiting my practice. Therapy is designed to help children, adolescents, individuals, and families who are experiencing difficulties with an aspect of their emotions, behaviors, or environment. Although there are different approaches to psychotherapy, each relies on the development of a trusting relationship with the therapist and ongoing open communication in order to bring about desired change.

Relationship is the centerpiece of my treatment philosophy. Your relationship with me, your relationships with other significant people in your life, and perhaps most profoundly, your relationship with yourself. I look forward to supporting you through strengthening relationships, increasing regulation, and deepening reflection to improve your quality of life.

TREATMENT DELIVERY OPTIONS:

Telehealth, In-Home, and In-Office Services

Research shows that telehealth sessions can be just as effective as in-person sessions for older children, teens, and adults. Dr. Sherry will provide telehealth sessions when appropriate and will discuss the method of delivery and it's appropriateness with you prior to the start of treatment.

Dr. Sherry may recommend in person in home services for younger children, and is available to provide these services in the family home(*), the most natural environment for young children to learn and receive intervention.

In-home psychology services for young children have been shown to improve access to services, increase parental involvement, reduce stigma, and promote an individualized approach to treatment that takes into account the specific needs for each child and family.

The in-home service delivery offered by Dr. Sherry is not frequently found with many private practice psychologists, and is informed by her 15+ years of in-home service delivery experience.

*Please note in-home services are only available in the cities of Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Agoura Hills, West Hills, Tarzana, Encino, and Sherman Oaks.

In-office services are recommended and available for child and adolescent psychoeducational and diagnostic testing due to the nature of these evaluations. Testing provided in person in Encino, CA.
